SureKlot™ gauze

SureKlot™ Bandages are bioactive hemostatic dressings. They operate on a unique load-based mucoadhesion mechanism that forms a mechanical barrier over the bleeding site or the entire surface of external wounds. They stop moderate to severe bleeding from cuts, abrasions, lacerations, punctures, venous or arterial bleeding. These bandages are unique in that they adhere to tissue when needed and are easily removed once they are work completed (by irrigating with physiological serum you will break the adhesion bridge).

These bandages are recommended in surgery, in traumatology when you are faced with diffuse, sheet or cavitary bleeding (packing method) but also for the treatment of external, fresh or necrotic wounds. By soaking it with SureKlot™ spray you will considerably increase the positive charge of the bandage as well as the many inherent properties of chitosan.

Technology

PBT™ protonated bioadhesive technology

When SureKlot™ gauze comes into contact with the bleeding site, it provides strong and rapid hemostasis through mucoadhesion, rapidly absorbing blood plasma and concentrating clotting factors at the breach.

Positively charged SureKlot™ will create an electrostatic interaction with negatively charged moving blood cells. Blood cells react to contact with the SureKIot™ gauze and create a strong hemostatic nail.

Mode of action: SureKlot™ gauze allows faster hemostasis due to the electrostatic interaction between the positively charged Chitosan biopolymer and negatively charged blood cells.

Thanks to its positive charge, the PBT™ biopolymer attracts red blood cells (RBCs) and platelets and traps them in its fibrous structure (concentration), which leads to the activation of platelets and the formation of a powerful blood clot . The combined effect of bioadhesion and a strong blood clot is instant hemostasis.

This method of controlling bleeding is robust enough to work regardless of natural clotting factors. PBT™ is therefore effective even in patients taking anticoagulant medications. Finally, the enhanced cationic charge provided by the PBT™ biopolymer also imparts strong antimicrobial properties to the material (active antimicrobial barrier) by limiting the entry of external bacteria (muco-adhesion) into the wound site while maintaining a moist environment. , favorable to cell proliferation and wound healing.

the bandages are unique in that they adhere to tissue when needed and come off easily once their job is done (by irrigating with saline you will break the adhesion bridge for easy and painless removal of the tape ). These bandages are recommended in surgery, in traumatology when you are faced with diffuse, sheet or cavitary bleeding but also for controlling bleeding from external wounds (limbs, head, thorax, abdomen).

On external, fresh or necrotic wounds use the SureKlot™ strip as a bandage. By soaking it in SureKlot™ spray you will considerably increase the positive charge of the bandage as well as the many inherent properties of chitosan.

How to use it

Tear the SureKlot™ package and remove the Gauze using sterile gloves.

In surgery: in cases of severe internal bleeding, diffuse or in sheets, unroll and apply SureKlot™ tape by packing with constant and uniform pressure until the dressing adheres to the wound. Never dab the bleeding area with the tape. Once applied, do not lift or remove the SureKlot™ Gauze, even to check hemostasis.

For dry wounds, wrap the wound with SureKIot™ Bandage moistened with SureKIot™ Spray.

For debridement: Wrap the wound with a SureKIot™ bandage soaked in SureKIot™ Spray.

For heavily contaminated wounds, wrap with SureKlot™ Bandage moistened with SureKlot™ Spray.

The SureKlot™ Strip can be cut, folded and inserted into deep wounds. You can therefore adapt it perfectly to the area of the lesion. It is important that the tape completely covers the bleeding area. It even works on patients on anticoagulants.

To remove the SureKlot™ Strip, irrigate with saline/water solution and gently peel off.
