GOLDIC® - SET 2 VET CANINE

The GOLDIC® SET 2 VET kit is the technological platform that allows the Canine veterinarian to carry out the four stages of preparation for the GOLDIC® treatment. The animal's blood will be collected directly using the 2 GOLDIC BTS tubes. After taking care to mix the blood with the gold particles well, the veterinarian will position them horizontally in the incubator for 24 hours at 37°. After the very important phase of incubation, taking care to check that the opturator caps are tightly screwed, he will place the two tubes in the centrifuge for a cycle of 8 minutes at 4500 rpm. Once this step is completed, he will use the transfer box and the specific filter to transfer the enriched serum from the GOLDIC® - BTS tubes into the 4 GOLDIC® - SAS syringes.

The GOLDIC® - SET 2 VET kit includes the following elements: 2 GOLDIC® - BTS tubes including gold particles for blood sampling, incubation and centrifugation of blood samples, 4 syringes for transferring and applying the GOLDIC® - SAS treated serum, 1 special filter to retain gold particles and blood cells, 1 butterfly needle for blood sampling, 1 3-way stopcock for connecting GOLDIC® BTS tubes and a set of labels.

The blood test

Blood is collected normally with the butterfly needle, the 3-way stopcock in the 2 GOLDIC® - BTS tubes (shaving of the skin on the jugular vein, disinfection with alcohol, and with sterile gloves). It is very important that blood is drawn very slowly and carefully to avoid hemolysis.

Do not use any anticoagulants.

10ml of blood must be taken from each GOLDIC® - BTS tube and closed the tubes using luer lock opturator caps and break the piston rod before introducing the BTS tubes into the incubator and the centrifuge.

Preparation of serum

Serum processing is the most important step in GOLDIC® technology. Indeed, it is at this stage of the preparation that the gold particles, included in the GOLDIC® - BTS tubes, will create cellular induction and increase the volume of growth factors and cytokines. The GOLDIC® - BTS tubes filled with blood are stored for 24 hours in an incubator (37°). Then, the enriched serum is centrifuged to separate it from other blood cells. This serum enriched with growth factors and important cytokines is then transferred using the filter provided in the kit of 2 GOLDIC® - BTS tubes to the 4 GOLDIC® - SAS serum application syringes.

It is important that you get 1.5 ml of enriched serum in the four GOLDIC® - SAS syringes for GOLDIC® treatment.

The injection

The serum concentrate obtained in the four GOLDIC® - SAS syringes is then injected into the patient under ultrasound control according to the protocol established by the veterinarian. A treatment generally consists of four (4) injections of the treated serum, spaced 3 to 5 days apart. From the first injection, the treatment can be carried out over a period of 2 to 3 weeks. During this period, the veterinarian monitors the clinical progress using ultrasound and records the results.

For indications of muscular, tendon or ligamentous lesions, the first injections are always carried out intra-lesional until the lesion is completely filled and subsequently peri-lesional. For joint indications, the 4 injections will always be carried out intra-articularly under ultrasound control.

Reminder: prevention of technical and/or asepsis errors.

Perfectly locate the injection site, clean the skin properly with a disinfectant solution before positioning the needle under ultrasound control. Before injecting the serum, make sure that no air remains in the syringe.
